El Paso Trip

Since my parents have moved back to El Paso we got to go visit for a whole week. Zach was already there and had been for a week so that he had time just him and Grandma and Grandpappy! Even though my parents house was getting a new roof and bathroom while we were there we still had a great time! We went to my cousin's Leah's daughter's birthday party. The kids got to have their faces painted-which they always love. Avery got to take a ballet class with my old teacher Mrs. Harper. I got to see my friend Danielle one night for some late sushi and drinks. I even got to spend time with my childhood friend Kelli and her kids at her mom's house. Our kids got to go swimming and got along very well. I think we are both looking forward to visiting them on our next trip as well. There were so many photos to choose from so I had to put them on the slide show. To see all of them click on the title of this post-Hope you enjoy! Thanks mom for a great week-we can't wait to see you guys again!

San Francisco Treat!

Andrew let Avery, Blake and myself tag along to San Francisco the 2nd week of June. While he was off doing business the kids and I took in the sights and enjoyed the amazing weather they were having! We saw the sea lions, the Wharf, the aquarium, went on the cable cars and more-it was so much fun! Best of all though we got to see our friends Lance and Meghan and their little guy Lucas! Avery and Blake's favorite part might have been riding on the carosel like 10times and they also got to see Andrew's dad- Pop pop and Patty and their dog Hank Click on the title to see the rest of the photos!

Zach's going away!

Zach is going away to visit Grandma in El Paso all by himself for a whole week. This is going to be his first trip by himself. I know they will have a great time. Don't worry we put him on a plane-he didn't take the trip via the giant balloon!

Friends welcome

The first weekend in June we had friends in town visiting from Oklahoma. We got to stay at the Omni which the kids loved. Blake is really enjoying swimming and Avery is like a little fish with her floatie on. Zach loved it because Avery was swimming and playing with him. Special thanks to Randy and Shala for the sweet gifts they gave to the kiddos. Only mishap of the weekend-Blake cut his eye open one night at the hotel while we were having dinner in Denver. Luckily our sitter took good care of Blake and he got a pretty good cut but he will be fine!

Happy Birthday Sofia!

Here are Avery and Blake at one of Avery's best friends birthday parties at Build a Bear. They all had a great time Blake is especially attached to his dog Bluebell. He named him after Andrew's sister's dog that Blake fell in love with in Sun Valley over the holidays. Thanks Sofie for a great time and Happy 4th birthday!

Zach 1st Little League Season

This was the first year that Zach played little league baseball and he did great. From the beginning of the season to the end he made some great improvements and I think that towards the end he started to actually enjoy it! It was a lot of games but I was so glad that he tried it out!

At the end of the season the Rockies have a little league day where the teams get to walk around the field. Our tickets were pretty far away so it was hard to see him but it was a great way to end the season. His team did well and was in 1st place for almost the whole season before dropping to 3rd in the final week. Oh well-here they are-The Knights!

Mom's blog update!

I stole this post from my mom's blog since I somehow ended up without my camera! It is our traditional girls bonding weekend. I was so excited to host the girls here in Denver. We had big plans but as usual we ended mainly shopping and swapping old stories and lots of laughs!

So you can check out this complete post with pictures from her blog.

Bonding Weekend
When Melissa got married, I told her she had to train her husband up right, she had to spend one weekend out of the year with her mother. So the beginnings of our Mother Daughter weekend, our weekends have taken us to : Las Cruces, Tuscon, Alburquerque, Dallas, Seattle. This year we were in Colorado for our weekend, and had a blast.Pat, Melissa and Pat's sister and her 2 daughters have gone ever since; except the time that we were out of the country. Something we all look forward to.
Hot air balloon rides largely depend on wind and weather conditions so we found out after an 1 1/2 hour wait. The ideal wether condition never happened so Pat and her sister, Ana, were unable to ride on the hot air balloon as planned.
As the young girls went to exercise, Pat and her sister walked around in the river pool. Believe it our not it was a work out.
As always we did a lot of shopping. Here you have our three models:Rebecca, Melissa, and Leah.

Happy Birthday to me!

I celebrated my 33rd birthday with a suprise celebration at our weekly playgroup. I have no pictures because I thought it was a regular palydate with Avery and Lauren but when I got to the park-my friend Stephanie had decorated a table at one of the park gazebos with crepe paper and set for a picnic. She provided snacks and cupcakes! Thank you Stephanie for the lovely suprise-I treasure our friendship! A few nights later I celebrated again with a trip to the Rio for some fun and margaritas with friends. Here are Crystal, Stacie and Michelle-we missed you Heidi! That makes for a lot of birthday fun in May!

Finally!

My cousin Amy lived in Colorado Springs for nearly 2 years and it wasn't until the day before she moved back to Texas that we finally went to visit her! I was so excited that we finally got together. The kids had never met before and Amy and I hadn't seen each other since....well-it had been almost 11 years! The kids had so much fun that day-and to top it off since they were moving they played outside the entire time! I now just wish we had done it sooner. Can't you see all the fun in their faces!

Last time we saw him was at the hospital. The kids were excited to see the baby and she even let them hold him too. Thanks Meghan and Congrats too!
