Zach's off to NY

Zach is off to NY for a 6 week vacation. We sure do miss him around here and we can't wait until he comes home!!!

Melissa the Greenthumb?

I am not in any way, shape or form talented in gardening...however, I do have a dear friend who is. My neighbor Kelly planted some flowers in my back yard for my birthday present. And I might add that they are all still alive! That in itself is amazing and so we bought more flowers...and they are still alive...so who knows. Here are some of the flowers that are in my backyard now! The first picture is of Sage, the next is the Colorado state flower-Columbine, and the last one is...I have no clue. Aren't they pretty!

Avery's 1st bike

I tried, I really tried to wait until her birthday to give her this bike...but we couldn't help ourselves. This is her princess bike, complete with a canopy and bell. She is obsessed with the bike...everyday, she goes to the garage to ride it. The first night she even wanted to sleep in her helmet! She can't quite pedal herself but luckily there is a push bar for dad to push around his little princess!

Baby Dedication Ceremony

Today we have both Blake and Avery dedicated in a ceremony at our church. Avery's godparents Kevin & Dawn Farlow came all the way from Florida. Blake's godparents...and neighbors, the Lanes and the Kurz's were there as well. We had my aunt Joan who lives in Denver and her mom, my Grandma Barrett in El Paso who also attended. Even Andrew's family, Dick and Patty came in from Idaho. It was so touching and special to have everyone there. Unfortunately, we didn't get many pictures. So he are a few.

There is something about his eyes and I can't quite put my finger on it but...they are beautiful. They are the kindest eyes I have ever seen. Wouldn't you agree?

Happy 4 months!

The pool is officially open! Funny thing is that we had to go to the pool on the first day which was on 5/26...nevermind that is was 65 degrees that day. That is how you know you have been living in Colorado too long...65 is not pool weather! Avery loves it and Blake is jsut not sure about the whole pool thing yet.

Happy 31st!

Another year and another birthday party! This one was just as much fun...minus any battle scars like last year. We had a BBQ in the backyard and enjoyed every minute!
