With family in town for the last month I haven't even posted on my blog. You will get mostly pictures for last months review so I hope you enjoy! It was great having my parents here to share Thanksgiving and just having them be apart of our everyday lives. Zach and Avery loved it too. With Avery learning how to talk she easily says Pappy or Poppy. The basement is coming along great with much thanks to my dad. He worked so hard and it really shows! My mom and I had a nice time as well and I was so happy to introduce her to my friends. They all loved her. We loved having them here and are looking forward to their return for the baby.

It sure is great to have Grandma & Grandpappy here visiting us in Colorado. Here they are giving a group massage while Avery has stolen and is eating Grandpappy's apple!

Happy Halloween!

My brother Isaiah came in town last week so he was here to join in on the costume fun...See Superman!!! Avery was dressed as a bumble bee again and Zach was a Darth Vader repeat as well. We started out early, about 5:15, so we could stay warm. that didn't last too long but we were bundled up and ready to take on the cold! This was the beginning picture in front of the house...noticce Zach's empy bag. We cruised the neighborhood and got lots of candy. We stopped off at our friend Crystal & Brian's home to share in their tortilla soup dinner Halloween tradition for a snack and a bit of warming up. After hanging out there for a while we headed back out to face the cold for another 30 minutes before heading back to the house. However, by the time we got home I think most kids had already come and gone because we ended up only having 3 trick or treaters. So now we really have a lot of candy. I think the kids had fun and Avery must have been pretty toasty too because this was her in the wagon during the ride back to our house. Avery was wiped out by the end...can you tell?

Last night my dear friend Alissa & I went to Malika Oufkir's book signing down South. She has written the book Stolen Lives & her new book is titled Freedom-The Story of My Second Life. We had a great time listening to her speak and also getting to spend some girl time together. Here is a pic of us with the author from yesterday.

We had our first snow last week and although it didn't last very long, it was beautiful. Here is a shot from our back yard. We probably ended up with about 5-6 inches. Of course this last weekend it was beautiful and 70 so needless to say the snow is gone! It was pretty while it lasted.

We took a trip back to El Paso a few weeks ago to visit some friends and family. This was the first time that some people had seen Avery so I know that the great grandparents enjoyed that. andrew had the opportunity to play golf with some buddies and just relax. It was a nice weekend overall! Here are some of our pictures...

Once Avery wakes up in the morning she is pretty certain of the way things should work. She wakes up, she gets a diaper change, gets dressed and then it is breakfast time. Her most favorite breakfast...she even says it now...Waffles! The other morning as we were leaving to walk Zach to the bus stop I snapped a picture of her bundled up with her waffle for the morning walk.

Happy birthday to Zach! Zach turned 7 on September 26th. We had 5 of his friends over and they went bowling before coming back to the house and spending the night~ Wow that was crazy! I built them a fort in the dining room made out of sheets and they all slept under there for the night. I think Zach had a great time! He told me that this was his best birthday ever!!!

Just a little pregnancy update: Things are very well. We are now 18 weeks and will be having a sonogram in the next 2 weeks. We are planning on finding out the sex of the baby so keep watching. The news will be posted here! I am just starting to show although I am still in my regular clothes. Maternity fashion shouldn't be far off, some pants aren't really buttoning anymore.

Another new experience for Zach over Labor Day weekend was heading to the local creek about 1/4 mile away to go crawdad fishing with the neighbors. That was definitely a first for him. They took sticks and tied some yarn abound the sticks while using hot dogs for bait. Altogether they caught 6 crawdads but they put them back in the creek for next time.
