Already?????

I am soooo not ready for this. As I was doing dishes the other day Avery found some mascara that I was sending to a friend, put it on and then she was caught washing it off her hands-I think she thought that if she washed her hands then I wouldn't know? The funny thing was that when I told her I wanted to take a picture of her eye-she smiled and struck a pose!

Happy Birthday to you

Since Blake loves cars and trucks it seemed only fitting to get him a car cake. He loved it and we had a great day together! He now says "me baby no...boy" I can hardly believe how much time has passed. He really is growing up so fast. Andrew just got a new truck and when Dad comes home instead of "da da" - now it is "big truck". Even the next day when we went to get his shots the only thing he said was oww-and gave the nurse a look like "what did you do that for?" He is curious in the potty and likes to play ball too. He actually has a decent attention span at the CU basketball games. It seems like only a short time ago that he couldn't speak at all and was learning how to walk. I guess there is a bit of bittersweetness to it. He is the last baby for us and I get both excited and sad as he grows up. He is such a joy to be around and is learning quickly to share and also how to fight back. Soon we will have tantrums and time outs but for the time being I am just excited to be with him. He knows his body parts, and animal sounds and he knows that he is 2. He loves dogs and likes for me to still hold him like a baby and rock him before I put him in bed. He is like a different person when he is alone and without the other kids-he is inquisitive and funny! Best of all I know that this is just the beginning!

More Birthday Fun

For Blake's special day we took him to Old Chicago for some pizza! We wanted to fill him up in time for his nap-(which didn't work) Blake's favorite people and adoptive godparents-Lance and Meghan came by to give him gifts and wish him a Happy Birthday too! Thank you guys! I love this picture of him and the balloon too because his is a mischievous face of his combined with a shy face when he won't look you in the eye!

Blake's birthday presents

Apparently Zach and Avery liked Blake's bubbles too.
Thanks to Grandma and Grandpappy Blake will be such a big help to Daddy once summertime comes.

Look at all those presents

The kids love to watch Little Einsteins-Here is Blake playing some music-I am sure in a week I will totally regret that gift!

Granny got Blake his very own motorcycle which he loves!

Darling diva

I think Avery is ready for a combination of swimming, ballet and dance class because as the attire is normal for her-the goggles she stumbled across that day and voila-A complete outfit!

Story time with Dad

The kids love to sit with Andrew while he reads to them. Usually it is some sort of princess book but Blake doesn't seem to mind. He was so tired this night he could barely keep his eyes open-but he did turn to smile for the camera.

Sibling hugs

Avery while rough with Blake also loves him dearly. Here she is hugging him and picking him up. Blake loves it too!

Driveway Race

Blake's almost 2 and his new obsession is trucks. This isn't a truck but it is as close as we have. He loves to get in Avery's little car and race down the driveway. He are some of the video of him too. I have to watch him pretty close because he actually loves to hit the curb and continue onto the street. Hearing him laugh though is the best.

Phoenix trip

Even though Andrew and I headed to Phoenix for a funeral for our old friend Tommy Jones from our baseball days I also got to meet up with my dear friend Natalie and her new baby girl Katie. It is always nice to see old friends even though Katie didn't seem to like me very much. Hopefully it won't be too long till we can see each other again.
