Avery apparently hasn't decided since the other day it was beautiful and sunny so she was in a bikini top and shorts. then as an afterthought she decided to put on her snowboots as she was outside watching dad wash the car...Quite a fashion statement if you ask me!

First smiles caught on camera!
Although Blake had his first smile a couple of weeks ago I was finally able to catch it on camera. It wasn't a huge smile...I have yet to get a photo of that! He is so handsome and a really good baby. The doctor said at his 2 month appointment that he is healthy and looks good. Can you believe he has already gained 4 1/2 pounds since birth. That is one healthy boy...now if he will just start sleeping through the night.....
Smart kid!
Avery's first cut
Avery had her first official haircut this last week at the local Lollilocks shop. The cut was complete with a picture, a certificate and a lock of hair for her baby book. She doesn't have that much hair to cut but she did get it trimmed. We girls all know how important it is to keep your hair trimmed. Doesn't she look cute!
Grandparents galore
We got lucky that week because just after Granny left another set of grandparents dropped in. Andrew dad-Pop Pop and Patty-Nana were here for a brief visit. The kids loved seeing everyone come to visit!

Blakes Godparents
For me the best part about our Easter celebration was having two very dear couples join us for an Easter lunch. Andrew and I had decided some time ago to ask both Joe and Alissa and Kelly and Alex to be co-godparents for Blake and that was the day we finally had them both at the house. We are so blessed to have them in our lives. We look forward to having them play such a large part in Blake's as well. We love and admire them both...and the best part...they said yes! Thank you both!
Happy Easter
Since Granny was in town we actually celebrated Easter a day early. The Easter bunny was pretty generous this year bringing Avery a handful of Elmo stuff such as an Elmo book and coloring book, ring, necklace and of course some eggs with jelly beans in them. Zach also scored with 2 new Magic Tree House books, some Pokemon cards and a new computer game, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego. I think thePokemon was his favorite although he is really enjoying his computer game too.
Egg Painting
Splitz Bowling
Butterfly Pavillion
Later in the week we went to the Butterfly Pavillion. Zach really enjoyed learning about butterflies in addition to the other creatures on display. We even got to watch a butterfly emerging from the cocoon. That was impressive. This was the best picture we got since most of the butterflies weren't very still.
Spring Break Fun
This will be a brief update since time seems to be so limited these days! Spring break was a great time for us this year especially since Zach didn't travel to NY and instead got to stay with us! We started out the week by going to opening day for the Rockies! Last year Avery came to the game and this year it was the boys...and mom. So Blake, Zach and Dad spent the day watching the Rockies game on a beautiful day.
