Saturday we went to the CU women's basketball game so Avery had to dress the part. She looked so cute in this little cheerleading outfit that I found for her. It was also a great day to show off her newly pierced ears! She got them pierced on Friday. She did such a good job that she barely made a peep when they pierced them. Too bad you can't see them in this picture. Now no one can make the mistake and ask if she is a girl or a boy!
Over MLK weekend we had the chance to get some skiiing by headig over to Vail. Zachary has been wanting to go skiing for quite some time. We put him in ski school for the day and he enjoyed it so much he wanted to go back for another day of ski school. Andrew went skiing the first day, met Avery and I for lunch and then skied more. As for Avery, she and I simply looked in shops and wandered around Vail Village. On the second day, it was snowing pretty hard and so Andrew stayed with Avery and I while Zach finished up his ski school. He is doing a great job, and before we got home that night he said he wants to come back again.

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. Zach went back to New York the day after Christmas and Andrew, Avery & I headed out to Phoenix to spend time with friends. We had a great time with both the Utrup and the Beer families. We spent New Years there and also had a chance to catch up with some other friends while we were in town. That was also very nice! Everyone returned home on the 2nd just in time to head back to work and school. At home we took down the Christmas tree that was a bit dehydrated and brittle by the time we returned, so the house is starting to return to normal. We still really don't have internet yet, our neighbor has bee nso kind as to allow me to log on to his network. So at least I can have a little outside world communication, and most of you won't feel as though I am ignoring you! And once I am able I will start posting new pictures again. Thanks for your patience.
